The Ask
Strengthen digital presence across Instagram and TikTok to better reflect the values of the chapter, connect with current and prospective members, and foster a more engaged online community. Develop a cohesive content strategy that feels personal, polished, and aligned with national branding.
The Challenge
Develop an engaging social media strategy that accurately reflected the organization’s core values while increasing member involvement in content creation to enhance authenticity and build trust.
The Solution
Increased Instagram engagement by 200% compared to the previous year, gained 500+ followers, and consistently reached over 20,000 accounts on a weekly basis during the fall semester term.
Effectively implemented a new instagram story campaign, “TFJ Tuesday” which encouraged members to share personal anecdotes and shoutouts tied to our core values, boosting authenticity and connection.

While serving as Vice President of Alpha Xi Delta, I led the management of our chapter’s official Instagram and TikTok accounts. My primary goal was to create a digital presence that reflected the sparkle, friendship, and genuine sisterhood within our organization. All content featured user-generated media submitted by members, which added authenticity and warmth to our feed and stories. I aimed to make the Instagram grid feel bright, inviting, and personal, visually representing the welcoming nature of our chapter.
To boost engagement and align with our national values of “Truth, Friendship, and Justice” (TFJ), I launched a year-long campaign called TFJ Tuesday. On the first Tuesday of each month, we posted Instagram Stories featuring member highlights along with interactive stickers prompting followers to share stories or shout-outs that embodied TFJ. This campaign quickly became a favorite, generating dozens of heartfelt responses each time, celebrating best friends, favorite memories, and meaningful moments within the chapter.
This initiative captured one of my core social media goals: to tell real stories that reflected our mission and strengthen community bonds.
Throughout the year, I also adapted the visual aesthetics by shifting color palettes and content styles with the seasons to keep the feed fresh, timely, and engaging. These design choices can be seen in the mockups that follow.
